In time for Comiket, a new preview offers a first look at the anime adaptation of Hitoshi Iwaaki's Parasyte. Nobunaga Shimazaki is 17-year-old Shinichi Izumi. Aya Hirano voices Migi, the alien parasite that attempts to bore into his brain, but, thwarted by headphones, winds up in his right hand. Kana Hanazawa is his close friend Satomi Murano.
Kenichi Shimizu (primarily an animator, who previously directed Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher) helms the Madhouse production with Shoji Yonemura (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Smile Precure) handling composition. Gainax vet Tadashi Hiramatsu (His and Her Circumstances) is on character design with Toshiyuki Komaru as chief animation director.
Additional cast includes
Kana Kimishima - Miyuki Sawashiro
Yuko Tachikawa - Kiyono Yasuno
Akiho Suzuki - Reina Maeda
