Alt audience anime block Noitamina has run a new 30-second ad for A-1 Pictures' (Sword Art Online, Silver Spoon) adaptation of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (April is Your Lie), Naoshi Arakawa's 2011 Monthly Shounen Magazine (Beck, Dear Boys) manga about a piano prodigy who gives up playing after his mother's death, only to be drawn back into music by a free spirited girl playing the violin.
The band Goose House will be providing music for the series, including its theme.

Kyohei Ishiguro directs with Takao Yoshioka (Watamote, Elfen Lied, Highschool DxD) on composition, Yukiko Aikei (Accel World, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere) on character design/animation direction and Masaru Yokoyama on music. Broadcast kicks off in October.
