"Kamen Rider: SummonRide" Game Wants to Rake in Cash Just Like "Skylanders"

Bandai Namco Games has a new Kamen Rider game on the way to PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii U in Japan this December, and it looks like they're hoping to get in on some of that Skylanders/Disney Infinity style loot. Kamen Rider: SummonRide lets players place special Kamen Rider NFC (Near Field Communication) figures in the game via a proprietary device, so let the collecting begin!

Putting different figures in the game will allow for certain bonuses depending on which elemental attribute it has. Riders come in the form of fire, water, wind, light, or dark, and in some instances it might take, say, a fire elemental to open a specific door in a level. The different elements bring in some strategy to the proceedings that will have players swapping out characters on the fly depending on the situation.

Players will also be able to link figures together to further amplify their powers. Beyond the figures themselves, however, are special chips that can be used to buff up their Riders. Pop in a Kyouka Ride Chip to change into a new form, or summon a support character for a limited time with a Nakama Ride Chip.

Those who purchase Kamen Rider: SummonRide will get the game, a summoning device, three figures, and four chips. After that, they're on their own in the brutal world of NFC figure collecting.
