The Attack on Titan-verse continues to expand with today's Japanese release of light novel spin-off The Harsh Mistress of the City. Ryo Kawakami pens the story about Mathias, the son of wealthy merchants and Rita, the daughter of an apothecary. She joins the military Garrison, and in the chaos in Kunita District following the Titan's breach of Wall Maria, he must join with bandits to be reunited. Beyond the striking young heroine, what's noteworthy about the spin-off is that art is by noted/illustrator Range Murata.
