Open Audition to be Held for “Kodomo no Omocha” Stage Play



Nelke Planning has announced that the company will hold an open audition for the roles of the protagonist girl Sana Kurata and her classmates for the upcoming stage play adaptation of Miho Obana’s popular shoujo manga series from the mid-late 1990s, Kodomo no Omocha, aka Kodocha. They are looking for bright and cheerful girls in the age of 10 to 17 (Sana is a 6th grade elementary school student in the story). The play is written and directed by 58-year-old Akitaro Daichi, who was also the director of the 102-episode TV anime adaptation in 1996-1998, and is scheduled to be performed for two weeks in late August of the next year.
