Four new cast supporting members have joined the October adaptation of Donten ni Warau with Kosuke Toriumi as Sosei Abeno, Yuki Fujiwara as Mutsuki Ashiya, Takahiro Fujiwara as Zenzo Inuka and Chenran Shi.

Hiroshi Haraguchi steps up to direct the Dogakobo (YuruYuri) production with Yuuya Takahashi (Tiger & Bunny) writing. Animator Takao Maki provides character designs.

The manga was serialized in Mag Garden’s Comic Avarus from 2011 to 2013 and the final sixth tankoubon volume was published this August. The story is set in 1878, 11 years after the Meiji Restoration. The Kumo three brothers, Tenka, Soramaru, and Chutaro, are working on transporting anti-government criminals to the Japan’s biggest and unescapable prison near Lake Biwa….
