Anime Unites “The Avengers” and “X-Men”

There’s a complicated landscape of which movie studios have rights to which to which Marvel characters, the net result of which is that you won’t be seeing an Avengers and X-Men crossover movie any time soon. However, Toei has proudly announced that they’re doing what Hollywood movies can’t, putting the teams together in the Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers anime series.

The “X-Men Edition” storyline kicks off with episode 16 “Uncontrollable Beats” on July 16th as the ever popular Wolverine shows up, tracking down nemesis Sabertooth.

The toy tie-in show, which is executive produced by Walt Disney Japan, previously featured X-Men/Wolverine antagonist Silver Samurai, voiced by theme song singer T.M. Revolution.
