In May of 1989, Masamune Shirow's cyber thriller manga Ghost in the Shell debuted in Young Magazine. While Japan has been celebrating the 25th anniversary with manga, figures, event cafes and the like, English speaking territories are not being left out. Mamoru Oshii's first movie will be screening at UK's Picturehouse cinemas from 27th September, and on 29th September British fans can pick up the movie in HD on Blu-ray.
Americans will then get a chance to pick up a 25th anniversary edition on September 30th.
