Character goods maker Cospa’s moe/bishoujyo specialized brand Nijigen Cospa has listed a T-shirt based on the member recruitment poster, and a skull motif “Bentenmaru” silver ring, both inspired by the 2014 film Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace. The film was released in Japan on February 22, 2014, after the 26-episode TV anime which was aired from January to June in 2012.
The T-shirt features the illustration for the space yacht club member recruitment poster drawn by Gruier Serenity in the film. It is a parody of the famous “I WANT YOU FOR U.S.ARMY” poster (James Montgomery Flagg, 1917). The silver ring is designed after the ID ring to control the Bentenmaru. The price for the T-shirt (size: S/M/L/XL) is 3,132 yen (about US$30.79) and that of the ring is 15,120 yen (about US$148.65). The former will be shipped in the middle of July, the latter will follow in early August.
