The latest Harvest Moon game—known in Japan as Bokujō Monogatari: Tsunagaru Shintechi, AKA Farm Story: Connect to a New World—is coming to North America courtesy of publisher XSEED Games. The Nintendo 3DS entry is making its way over this year as Story of Seasons.
Since Natsume owns the North American rights to the Harvest Moon name, XSEED can't call it that, hence the name change. Despite that little snag, Marvelous and XSEED plan to continue the series with the same development team and a new name.
Story of Seasons will let players fully customize their characters, from gender to hair style, facial features, and more. Once the character is set, they'll enter Oak Tree Town as its newest resident, opening up the familiar farm life gameplay we know and love.
