Eight months ago, Fujimoto Bussan, a fruits and vegetables company based in Kumamoto Prefecture in the Kyushu Island, started selling mini tomatoes grown in the prefecture, featuring the three main girls from Toei Animation's on-going popular TV anime HappinessCharge PreCure! (Cure Lovely, Cure Princess, Cure Princess) on its package. Children usually hate eating vegetables. But the company hopes them to enjoy eating it with their favorite anime characters, and to overcome their hatred gradually.
Thanks to the great popularity of the long-running franchise, the HappinessCharge PreCure mini tomatoes have been sold really well in the area. While it is currently available only in Kyushu, to meet the requests from all over Japan, the company is planning to expand its selling areas nationally.
