"Pokémon Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire" Let You Fly on the Backs of Pokémon

Some enticing new info about Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire came out of the latest issue of CoroCoro Comics magazine. As detailed over at Serebii.net, one of the new features will let players fly on the backs of certain Pokémon and run into legendaries in the sky.

Latios (exclusive to Omega Ruby) and Latias (exclusive to Alpha Sapphire) both have Mega Evolutions, making them Mega Latios and Mega Latias, as you might have guessed. Players will be able to fly on both of them in the overworld, and Pokémon like Reshiram, Zekrom, Dialga, and Palkia can be encountered in the sky.

Legendary Pokémon can be found on islands reached through sky areas, and the sky can be accessed by using the Eon Flute item. Thanks to this, all non-event Legendaries should be obtainable in Generation VI.

A couple other notable reveals include Mega Evolutions for Pidgeot and Beedrill. Mega Pidgeot is Normal/Flying-type with the No Guard ability, and Mega Beedrill is Bug/Poison-type with Adaptability.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire hit Nintendo 3DS on November 21.
