The two shirts, featuring sepia-toned versions of main characters Madoka Kaname and Mami Tomoe, were each created using more than 100,000 embroidery stitches, and utilize high-quality materials and sewing techniques for a different look and feel than standard printed shirts. The front of the shirts feature the character's name and a Soul Gem embroidered above the breast pocket. Compared to the currently-available “Madoka Magica” embroidered shirts, the upcoming releases were created with more subdued colors for a slightly more adult look appropriate for any situation. Each shirt retails for 12,000 yen, plus tax, and will go on sale at the event ahead of general release.
Other “Madoka Magica” merchandise for sale at the event includes a teacup depicting Madoka and Homura wearing yukata (900 yen, plus tax), a 140-by-80 centimeter towel printed with artwork of Madoka and Homura in bikinis (4,800 yen, plus tax), and silicone train pass holders depicting each of the 5 main characters (1,200 yen each, plus tax).
Each high-quality shirt was embroidered with over 100,000 stitches.
