Major Performers in the U.S. – Week Ending July 12
One Piece: Unlimited World Red (PS3) sales are expected to drop to around 10,000 units in its second week on sale. The 3DS version is expected to drop to around 6,000 units. The Vita version is expected to drop to around 4,000 units.
Hardware and software sales are expected to remain within 10 percent of the previous week.
Other Hot Games – In Order of Release
Destiny (PS4) added 43,833 pre-orders, up from 33,077 last week, for a total of 487,984. The Xbox One version added 38,943 pre-orders, up from 18,625 pre-orders last week, for a total of 375,219. The Xbox 360 version added 13,560 pre-orders, up from 3,842 last week, for a total of 149,134. The PlayStation 3 version added 5,938 pre-orders, up from 2,043 last week, for a total of 72,955. The game is nine weeks away from launch in the USA, September 9, 2014.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (X360) added 4,660 pre-orders, down from 6,079 last week, for a total of 60,624. The Xbox One version added 2,958 pre-orders, down from 3,519 last week, for a total of 53,048. The PlayStation 4 version added 2,266 pre-orders, down from 2,299 last week for a total of 37,472. The PlayStation 3 version added 1,184 pre-orders, up from 1,164 last week, for a total of 21,632. The game is 18 weeks away from launch in the USA, November 4, 2014.
Notable mentions: The Last of Us Remastered (PS4) added 8,887 pre-orders for a total of 96,472. Tales of Xillia 2 (PS3) added 4,021 pre-orders for a total of 86,475. Assassin’s Creed Unity (PS4) added 3,589 pre-orders for a total of 40,755.
Requests: Super Smash Bros. U (WiiU) added 1,493 pre-orders for a total of 19,109. Hyrule Warriors (WiiU) added 2,400 pre-orders for a total of 9,683. The Legend of Zelda Wii U (WiiU) added 460 pre-orders for a total of 3,040.
