It is officially announced today on July 8 that Toei Animation is now working on the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Daisuke Ashihara's sci-fi action manga World Trigger. The company today launches a teaser site for the TV anime project, though no details are given except a key visual featuring the four main characters. More information will be announced soon, it says. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since its 11th issue of 2013, and now six tankobon volumes are available in Japan.
Toei Animation was established in 1948 and is known as the oldest anime production company which still exists. It has produced many famous titles to represent Japan, such as Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Candy Candy, Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon, One Piece, PreCure..., the list goes on.
