"Ninja Slayer" Anime Plans Announced

First details on the Trigger (Kill La Kill) anime adaptation of the Ninja Slayer light novel series were announced at this weekend's Anime Expo. NINJA SLAYER FROM ANIMATION is slated for a 2015 production with Akira Amemiya (Inferno Cop, KlK episode director) directing and BOOM BOOMSATELLITES (Gundam Unicorn, Xam'd) providing the theme.

The meta-fiction of the over-the-top sci-fi martial artists light novel series Ninja Slayer is that "translators" Yu Honda and Leika Sugi were introduced to "authors" Bradley Bond and Philip Ninj@ Morzez's Ninja Slayer as a fanzine at San Diego Comic Con 1997.

Free giveaways of “Menpo” (Ninja Slayer’s mask), sample booklets containing the original NINJA SLAYER novel and a Comptiqcomicbook will be available at the GOOD SMILE COMPANY booth during Anime Expo 2014. Additional merchandise will also be available for sale and Ninja Slayer himself will make surprise appearances for photo shoots.
