June 2014 is the eighth month that the PlayStation 4 is on sale. During the latest month the PlayStation 4 has fallen behind the Wii when you compare it to its eighth month on sale. In the first eight months, the Wii currently leads by 656,519 units. The gap shrunk by 764,362 units.
Both consoles launched in November. The Wii launched in November 2006, while the PlayStation 4 launched in November 2013. The PlayStation 4 has sold 8,389,231 units in its first eight month, while the Wii sold 9,045,750 units during the same timeframe.
