Nana Komatsu Plays Heroine Azuki in “Bakuman.” Live-Action Film

It is officially revealed to Japanese media today on July 14 that 18-year-old actress Nana Komatsu is playing Miho Azuki, the main heroine of the upcoming live-action film adaptation of the popular manga Bakuman. created by Tsugumi Ohba (story) and Takeshi Obata (art), alongside 25-year-old Takeru Sato as Moritaka Mashiro and 21-year-old Ryunosuke Kamiki as Akito Takagi. According to the report, she took lessons in acting of the character from a voice actress (probably Saori Hayami?). She says, “I think my acting was improved to a certain level by the day of the shooting,” and “Since I have worked on so hard, I hope this film will be seen by many people.”

The film is written/directed by 45-year-old Hitoshi Oune (Moteki) and distributed by Toho for a 2015 release.
