Former AKB48 Member Tomomi Itano To Perform At JPOP Summit Festival in San Francisco

Former AKB 48 member, Tomomi Itano joins the dazzling array of musical guests to perform a free show at JPOP Summit Festival in San Francisco on the 19th & 20th of this month. Tomomi released her first full-length solo album, SxWxAxG on July 2nd and this will be her first post-AKB US appearance and performance. 


 


 



 



Tomomi Itano graduated from AKB48 last year and has been busy with her solo project since then. In this special video message about her first album, Tomomi talks about the songs included in the album that are influenced by the EDM and hiphop styles that she loves. Another JPOP Summit Festival Guest Of Honor, May'n will have a full concert separately at Slim's in San Francisco as a part of the event's celebration of J-Pop music. May'n will also make greeting appearances at the event, but no event stage performances are planned.


 


 


 


 



JPOP Summit also covers a lot of J-fashion as well! Kawaii events in SF! will bring over many Aomoji-kei models for fashion shows, autograph sessions and performances including the first solo US performance of “Aoki Tsuki Michite,” The Black Butler -Book Of Circus- ending theme by popular KERA model, AKIRA.


 


 



 


 


 


 


 


 


 



A Japanese Kuro-gyaru group, Black Diamond are also guests at the event and they are planning to conquer San Francisco, according to the event's official site. JPOP Summit Festival will be held on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th at historical Japantown and at Union Square in San Francisco. The celebration of Japanese pop culture event welcome anisong singer May'n as Guest Of Honor and have plans for interesting events to cover many aspects of JPOP culture, including music, J-fashion, film and food.
