Viz has announced that next Monday’s July 14th issue of the English Weekly Shonen Jump will feature Rurouni Kenshin – Aku no Kioku, the backstory of political assassin survival-of-the-fittest revolutionary Makoto Shishio from Jump SQ 8.
The one-shot ties into August’s Rurouni Kenshin – The Kyoto Fire and September’s The Legend’s Conclusion live-action adaptation of the samurai manga’s fan-favorite “Kyoto Arc.”
