Yu Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana's sci-fi manga Terra Formars is set to be adapted into an OVA covering the events of the BUGS 2 arc from the year 2599, then a TV anime with Annex 1 arc set in 2620. While OVAs will be released with volumes 10 and 11 of the series in August and November, the hype is already building in a commercial promoting today's Japanese release of the volume 9.

Viz announced plans to release the sci-manga in North American starting this summer. In it, humanity sends mold and cockroaches to Mars in the 21st century to prime it for colonization. In the 26th century, a group of scientists travel to the planet, only to be wiped out by hulking humanoid roaches. Mankind responds by sending a squad of warriors to the planet.
