While the cast is returning for the upcoming YuruYuri OVA, Recently My Sister's Hiroyuki Hata helms the project at TYO Animation rather than the TV series' Masahiko Ohta at Dogakobo. Michiko Yokote is writing while Motohiro Taniguchi now handles character design and animation direction. With these changes, the character design has been shifted to look closer to the style of the original manga.

New Blu-ray sets of the two TV season are also listed for July 16 and October 16.
