The HD updates of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light confirmed earlier today run in 1080p on PlayStation 4, a Deep Silver representative told GameSpot . However, there’s less certainly about Xbox One. “Xbox One [resolution] is not yet final,” the spokesperson said.
Both versions of the game include updated visuals comprising the following: “advanced lighting, dynamic weather, more detailed characters with improved animation, more dynamic destruction and improved smoke, fire, and particle effects.”
Regarding frame-rate, both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light run at a “silky smooth” 60fps, Deep Silver says.
Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC individually later this summer for $25 each. You’ll also be able to buy the games together, in a physical package called Metro Redux with all previously released DLC, across PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $50.
