Amazon Japan has begun listing the opening and ending single for this summer's adaptation of Toyko ESP. Faylan sings opening "Tokyo Zero Hearts," while the currently unnamed ending is by Yousei Teikoku. The two were both previously attached to Katanagatari and the Future Diary franchise.
Hajime Segawa developed Toyko ESP while writing Ga-Rei, the supernatural manga that inspired prequel anime Ga-Rei Zero. His first proposal was something like The Matrix with a fart powered hero. When his editor scuttled that, he settled on an action series starring a girl whose phasing abilities manifest after she has a vision of a flying penguin.
