Comedy Manga "Denkigai no Honya-san" Gets TV Anime This Fall

The June 2014 issue of Media Factory's Comic Flapper, which is officially released today on May 2 in Japan, reveals that a TV anime adaptation of Asato Mizu's slice-of-life comedy manga Denkigai no Honya-san (The bookstore in the electric town) is in the works and is scheduled to start this fall. The manga has been serialized in the magazine since its July 2011 issue and the latest 7th volume will be released on May 23.

The manga focuses on everyday life of the seven clerks who work at a bookstore named "Books Umanohone" in an unnamed electric town located somewhere in Japan, which is selling not only general commercial books, but also doujinshi and adult books for the otaku readers. It is imaginable that "Umanohone" is a parody name of the popular otaku book/doujinshi store chain Toranoana.
