VIDEO: "Katsuo Ningen - The Movie" Trailer Shows Love Story of Tuna Man

Kochi Prefecture has posted a trailer for the 5-episode PR film series Katsuo Ningen - The Movie: Harimayabashi de Aimashou (Meet at the Harimaya Bridge) featuring its famous mascot character Katsuo Ningen (Tuna Man). They will be posting the episodes weekly on Sunday starting tonight on 8:00 pm, March 2 (JST). The films are produced as a part of the prefecture's "Kochi Family" promotion project.

Katsuo/Skipjack tuna is well known as a specialty of Kochi. Katsuo Ningen has been a big hit in Japan for being a severed fish head clad in a loincloth. He even has his own twitter account and facebook page. 24-year-old Saki Hamada, who plays the heroine of the story, was chosen from 64 candidates in the audition held in December 2013. This is her film debut. Some of you may know the Harimaya Bridge from Aaron Woolfolk's 2009 American film of the same name starring Ben Guillory, Danny Glover (Lethal

Weapon), and Saki Takaoka (see the trailer on the bottom of this article).
