Nana Mizuki Sings the Image Song for the 72th National Sports Festival of Japan

Now she is more than just an anime voice actress/singer. The Preparatory Committee for the 72nd National Sports Festival and the 17th National Sports Festival for People with Disabilities announced on March 24 that Nana Mizuki is singing the image song for the events as the representative singer of the country. Combining the two events as one, the largest sport event in Japan will be held in Ehime Prefecture in 2017. One of the reasons why she was chosen for the role is probably because she was born in Niihama-city in the prefecture and has been devotedly supporting to promote her home prefecture for years. And of course, her recent winning of the New Face Award of Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts might be a great factor, too.

The title of the image song is "Egao wa Kimi no Tame ni Aru" (the smile is there for you). It was written/composed by 46-year-old Isao Shinohara in Matsuyama-city and chosen from 166 entries.

You can download the MP3 files of the three versions of the song (normal, dance, gymnastics) here.
