Quiz animation Nanamaru Sanbatsu, an upcoming TV anime based on the manga by Iquta Sugimoto about the highly competitive world of high school quiz games, has announced a quintet of new cast members. The new cast members include:
M・A・O as Yuki Kouzuki, a 1st year student who has been playing quiz games since middle school. Yuki is close friends with Mari, and they call each other by affectionate nicknames ("Mari-rin" and "Yukkichi").
Wataru Hatano as Yosuke Ashiya, a 3rd year student and manager of his school's quiz club. Yosuke is known for his calm demeanor.
Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Takumi Niina, a 3rd year student and the manager of his school's quiz club. Takumi comes across as a caring and gentle older-brother type, but his personality competely changes when he plays quiz games.
Ayane Sakura as Chiaki Sonohara, a 3rd year student and the manager of her school's quiz club. From her words and her actions, Chiaki appears to be a well-bred young lady.
And Tomoaki Maeno as Kunimitsu Okura, a 2nd year student and the manager of his school's quiz club. With his bulky body, Kunimitsu doesn't look like a sophomore student, but he's actually a very friendly albeit slightly scatterbrained person.
The original Nanamaru Sanbatsu manga is serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace seinen manga magazine. The story follows Shiki Koshiyama, a shy and bookish freshman who gets caught up in the fiercely competitive world of quiz contests, where players must answer 7 questions correctly without first getting 3 questions wrong.
The Nanamaru Sanbatsu TV anime is directed by Masaki Ōzora and features animation by TMS Entertainment. The series will broadcast on Nippon TV and other stations beginning on July 04, 2017.
