tl;dr - Readers Rate the Manga They Gave up On

While some manga wrap up far too soon for our liking, there are plenty that go on for years... even decades. And while that can be great for fans always looking for their next read, some genuinely never seem to end.

Everyone's favorite ranking site Goo asked Japanese fans what manga were so long that they just gave up eventually. You can check out the full results on their site, but we have the top ten here! Note that we include the length of the manga so far (unless otherwise noted), but the ratings are by reader vote, not by manga length:

10. Futari Ecchi (69 volumes)

9. Naruto (73 volumes + 2 for Boruto)

8. Gintama (67 volumes)

7. Oishinbo (111 volumes)

6. Crest of the Royal Family (62 volumes)

5. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (118 volumes)

4. BLEACH (74 volumes, complete)

3. KochiKame (200 volumes, complete)

2. Detective Conan (92 volumes)

1. One Piece (84 volumes)

Also on the list are long-runners like Hajime no Ippo, Inuyasha, and Golgo 13. Also of note, KochiKame currently holds the Guinness World Record for most volumes published for a single manga series.

So are long manga a deal-breaker for you? Or are you in for the long haul?
