According to the latest Oricon sales report, "Kira! Mankai Smile," the first ED theme song for the ongoing THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS Theater TV anime, sold 9,348 units on the second day of release, becoming the top-selling CD single of April 26 in Japan. The CD single was released from Columbia Music Entertainment and sold 39,102 units on its first day, ranking 3rd in the daily chart.
The song is written/composed/arranged by Tomoko Sasaki, who has worked for the The Idolm@ster franchise since 2011, and performed by Uzuki Shimamura (CV: Ayaka Ohashi), Miho Kohinata (Minami Tsuda), Mayu Sakuma (Yui Makino), Momoka Sakurai (Haruka Terui), and Anzu Futaba (Hiromi Igarashi). In addition the original version performed by the five, the CD single also includes five solo versions by each girl, a karaoke version, and a bonus track "Pinyakorata Ekaki Uta" by Uzuki Shimamura.
The short anime series based on Kuma-Jet's gag manga series of the same name premiered in Japan on
April 4 and has also been available to Crunchyroll members worldwide ex Asia.
