If you've been hyped for Studio Ghibli Fest 2017 ever since we first talked about it, now's your chance to jump on the cat bus and join in! Tickets are now on sale for the summer film series, distributed by Fathom Events and GKIDS.
The series will air one Studio Ghibli classic per month, accompanied by GKIDS MINIFEST, an ongoing festival of award-winning short films from around the world.
This year's selections, as announced previously, are:
My Neighbor Totoro: June 25-26
Kiki's Delivery Service: July 23-24
Castle in the Sky: August 27-28
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind: September 24-25
Spirited Away: October 29-30
Howl's Moving Castle: November 26-27
Sunday showings will be dubbed and shown at 12:55 PM local time, with Monday showings aired subtitled at 7 PM local time.
Cinemark and Regal Cinemas will also be offering special bonuses for fans:
Cinemark is offering a season pass to all six film events for $60. For a limited time, Cinemark Connection members can unlock a free poster with their purchase. Order on the Cinemark website.
Regal Entertainment Group is also offering a season pass for $60, and the first 5,000 to order will receive an exclusive mounted decommissioned film cel from Spirited Away. Order on the Regal website.
