Latest Poster Visual for “Say, ‘I Love You’” Live-Action Film Inspired by Manga’s Kiss Illustration

Almost one month from its theatrical release in Japan on July 12, a new promotional poster for the live-action film adaptation of Kanae Hazuki’s popular shoujo manga Suki-tte Ii na yo/Say, “I Love You.” is revealed today. The kiss situation between Mei Tachibana (Haruna Kawaguchi) and Yamato Kurosawa (Sota Fukushi) is inspired by the popular cover page illustration of the manga’s 13th episode included in the 4th tankobon volume.

The film debuted in a 2nd place in the Japanese weekend box office earning decent 159,590,500 yen with 135,801 tickets, and its four-week gross is still not-so-impressive 790,484,060 yen (the media had expected 1 billion yen at least). So the distributor obviously needs something more sensational to push the ticket sales.
