Singer-songwriter and sometimes voice actor DAIGO and actress/frequent Misato cosplayer Natsuki Kato, along with the series' race queens, were on hand to present the launch of the Japanese 7-Eleven chain's latest Evangelion promotion. The convenience store is selling branded snacks, Be@rBrick purchase incentives drinks with special Eva caps, a race queen themed prize lottery and, most remarkably, two meter tall Eva statues!
Limited to 25, the statues in traditional and corporate colors, are selling for 1.836 million yen (or US$17,892).
The figures come with special pedestals which features a plate containing the Evangelion’s name and its serial number. Each figure is handmade and is made of steel.
