The official site for the ongoing TV anime HappinessCharge PreCure! announced today on August 9 that the OP song "Happiness Charge Precure! WOW!" singer Sayaka Nakaya (ex-AKB48 member) and the ED song "PreCure Memory" singer Hitomi Yoshida will join the upcoming 28th episode as guest voice cast. In the episode titled "Landing on Hawaii! Enter Aloha PreCure!," the two singers voice the twin sister PreCure team in Hawaii, Aloha PreCure, Nakaya as Orina/Cure Wave and Yoshida as Ohana/Cure Sunset.
Historically, it is not uncommon for PreCure TV series to have its OP/ED singers as guest voices. For Example, Mayu Kudo and Kanako Miyamoto, the OP/ED singers of the 2007-2008 Yes! PreCure 5, voiced female students in the 40th episode. In the 36th episode of the 2010-2011 Heartcatch PreCure!, Kudo again played a female student named Mayu with the OP song singer Aya Ikeda. But none of
the singers has ever played a PreCure girl in the ongoing series (Miyamoto later voiced Cure Sword in
the 2013-2014 Dokidoki PreCure!, but didn't sing the theme songs for it).
The highly-anticipated 28th episode is scheduled to be aired in Japan on August 17.
