Hyrule Warriors is getting an update in Japan on September 1, bringing with it a new Challenge Mode, NES-style sword and shield, additional background music options, and bug fixes.
The Challenge Mode adds scenarios like “Faron Woods, The Great Battles!,” in which players must take on waves of enemies and clear them in the shortest time.
You can see that and the new sword and shield, modeled after the 8-bit sprites of the original The Legend of Zelda, in the screens below.
As for the BGM options, players will now be able to change the background music before the start of each battle to another song you’ve come across.
