Hey! Say! JUMP’s Ryosuke Yamada Stars in “Assassination Classroom” Live-Action Film



It is officially confirmed today on August 27 that 21-year-old Ryosuke Yamada, a member of Johnny & Associates’ boys idol group Hey! Say! JUMP, will play Nagisa Shiota in the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Yusei Matsui’s Ansatsu Kyoushitsu/Assassination Classroom manga. Yamada is currently starring in Kindaichi Case Files N (neo), the latest live-action TV drama adaptation of the long-running popular mystery manga series, as the protagonist Hajime Kindaichi.

47-year-old Eiichiro Hasumi, who is best known for his works for the Umizaru series based on Shuho Sato’s


rescue diver team manga, directs the highly-anticipated film adaptation. The filming is scheduled to begin


on August 31, then to end in the middle of October. An open set for the film using a former elementary


school is now in the middle of construction in the suburbs of Kanto.



The live-action film Ansatsu Kyoushitsu/Assassination Classroom hits Japanese theaters in March 2015.
