Crunchyroll Manga readers have got talent, and here’s the proof: manga author Suzuki Nakaba has selected one grand prize winner and six runner ups to have their fan art featured in an upcoming print volume of The Seven Deadly Sins.
For this contest, art submissions were sent in from manga fans around the globe, each illustrating their favorite character from The Seven Deadly Sins (also known as "Nanatsu no Tazai"). From the contest thread posted here, author Suzuki Nakaba selected the winners who will have their fan-art featured in a special section of the next collected edition of “The Seven Deadly Sins”, published in Japan by Kodansha. The artwork will also be featured in the upcoming English book edition of The Seven Deadly Sins published by Kodansha USA.
Danika Harrod, brand manager for Crunchyroll Manga, says, “We are happy that our art contest involving The Seven Deadly Sins has helped to create a bridge between overseas fans and the manga industry in Japan. It’s an amazing chance for up-and-coming artists to get their work reviewed by professionals like Suzuki Nakaba and to have it published in book form. Crunchyroll Manga is looking forward to more such contests and collaborations in the future!”
