The official site for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Asato Mizu’s slice-of-life comedy manga Denkigai no Honya-san (The bookstore in the electric town), which is slated for this October, today announced its OP and ED song singers. 25-year-old voice actress Ayana Taketatsu’s as-yet-titled 6th solo single will be featured as the OP theme for the anime. While she will also voice one of the main characters, Fu Girl in the anime, it will be her first anime theme song relaesed as her solo single. She has sung many anime character songs, and the most famous ones were for the K-ON! anime series as Azusa Nakano. The CD single will go on sale in Japan on October 15.
The ED song will be performed by a newly-formed voice actress unit denk!girls. The four members of the units are: Natsumi Takamori (Hiotan), Minami Tsuda (Sensei), Ayana Taketatsu (Fu Girl), and Mai Aizawa (Kameko). The CD single will be released on October 29.
The Denkigai no Honya-san manga has been serialized in Media Factory’s Comic Flapper since its July 2011
issue, and now seven tankobon volumes are available in Japan. The TV anime directed by Masafumi Sato
(Saint October) will premiere on Tokoy MX and BS11 this October. The story focuses on everyday life of the
seven clerks who work at a bookstore named “Books Umanohone” in an unnamed electric town located
somewhere in Japan, which is selling not only general commercial books, but also doujinshi and adult books
for otaku readers.
