A site has launched for the January 2015 TV anime adaptation of Moyasimon author Masayuki Ishikawa's three volume Maria The Virgin Witch (Junketsu no Maria). Production I.G will be producing the show directed by Goro Taniguchi (Infinite Ryvius, s-CRY-ed, episodes of Space Dandy) and written by Hideyuki Kurata (Read or Die, Now and Then, Here and There, Kamichu!).
Yuriko Chiba (ToHeart, Planetes) is character designer, Eiji Nakada is doing concept design and Seiichi Shirato is chief researcher. Masato Koda (Arpeggio) is handling the music.

Kodansha has announced the North American manga license. The 2008 series good! Afternoon, follows a witch whose hatred of conflict leads her to use her magic to protect a neighboring village from the battles of Hundred Year War between Britian and France, despite the danger it poses to her being discovered by both human and heavenly forces.
