Original "Final Fantasy" Packed with Early Copies of "Final Fantasy Explorers"

Action-RPG Final Fantasy Explorers has plenty of nods to the series' history, so its first-print bonus is appropriate. Those who pick up early copies will get a product code that can be redeemed for a copy of the original Final Fantasy via the 3DS eShop.

This also serves to commemorate the anniversary of the first Final Fantasy game, which lines up nicely with the December 18 launch of Final Fantasy Explorers. The 3DS download features remastered art as seen in previous versions, and also supports 3D.

The 3DS version of Final Fantasy won't be exclusive to Explorers purchasers for too long. It hits the eShop in Japan by itself in January.

Another first-print bonus for Final Fantasy Explorers is a special quest that will net players the Onion Knight equipment from Final Fantasy III. Here's how it looks in Explorers.

Square Enix will have a Final Fantasy Explorers Light demo available in Japan prior to the full game's launch.
