The official website for 26-year-old Japanese-Korean singer/voice actress Pile announced on September 10 that she will make her solo singer debut from Victor Entertainment's pop music label Colorful Records this winter. She is best known as Maki Nishikino in the Love Live! anime/game series (her only anime role so far).
She has been working as a member of μ's, the voice actress unit for the Love Live! franchise since 2010. She has also formed two two-member unit, Please & Secret with Aina Kusuada (the voice of Nozomi Tojo) and 4to6 with Riho Iida (Rin Hoshizora). More details about her solo singer project will be revealed in the next live-broadcasting program on Nico Nico Live, "Pile-chan no Channel Pile" at 21:00 on September 30.
