The long-awaited 10th volume of Chica Umino's shogi-themed manga Sangatsu no Lion/March Comes in Like a Lion is finally set for release on November 28 in Japan. The last 9th volume was published its 14 months ago in September 2013. Due to the author's health issues including hospitalization and surgery, its serialization on Hakusensha's Young Animal was stopped for five months from September 2013 to February 2014.
The 10th volume's special edition comes with a CD containing "Fighter," popular Japanese rock group Bump of Chicken's newly-written song. The four-member rock band was formed in 1994 and the total sales of their CDs has reportedly reached around 8 million. Umino herself has been a big fan of the band and is very happy with this collaboration project saying, "During my work, my heart has been always supported by Bump's songs. With my feelings of gratitude, I will keep my best to create stories."
The song will be also available digitally on Japanese music content delivery sites on the same day with
the manga volume.
