"Kuroko's Basketball" First Official Collaboration Watch Offered in Japan

Imperial Enterprise will start taking advance orders for the collaboration watch between Tadatoshi Fujimaki's basketball-themed manga Kuroko's Basketball, which finally finished its weekly serialization on Monday, and Citizen's high-quality watch brand INDEPENDENT at 6:00 am on October 6. This is the franchise's first official wristwatch released in Japan.

The 9,650-limited watch is designed after the image of the protagonist of the story, Tetsuya Kuroko. Its light blue-colored face has the school emblem and name of his high school Seirin, and second hand features a small basketball in the end. The watch will be released in two edition: with a leather band or metal band, and comes with a special illustrated box. The price is 29,800 yen (excluding tax/about US$285).
