The official site for five-member Japanese idol group Momoiro Clover Z announced today on July 7 that the girls will perform as an opening act in Lady Gaga's concert at Tokyo QVC Marine Field (aka Chiba Marine Stadium) on August 14, the second day of her only two-day tour in Japan. The tickets for the first day on 13 is already sold out.
According to Live Nation Japan, the promoter of Gaga's Japan tour, "Gaga has been personally interested in Japanese artists. After checking her favorite performers and our recommended ones, we offered the part to Momoiro Clover Z." While currently no plan for them to play together on stage, the promoter adds, "You never know when a surprise will happen, so please looking forward to it." In the recent US tour, digital singer Hatsune Miku and metal/idol group Babymetal supported the 28-year-old American pop singer.
