The official site for the Kuroko’s Basketball anime series is just updated with a new teaser visual for the upcoming third season of the TV anime. It is officially confirmed that the highly-anticipated third season is slated for sometime in 2015.
Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s basketball-themed manga has been serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump since 2009 and the latest 28th tankobon volume is released in Japan on last Friday, July 4. The two previous TV anime adaptations were both animated by Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell, Haikyu!!). The 25-episode first season was aired in Japan from April to September 2012, then the second season with more 25 episodes followed from October 2013 to April 2014. The last/9th volume of the anime second season’s Blu-ray/DVD is scheduled to be released on September 24.
