A few days ago we posted about a tease for Final Fantasy: Record Keeper, with the official reveal having emerged since then. Record Keeper is a free-to-play game for iOS and Android that lets players relive some of the Final Fantasy series' classic battles, and it's coming to Japan this summer.
Players take on the role of Deci, who is the best student and works in the history department under Dr. Mog. Thanks to Dr. Mog's magic, Deci can dive into paintings and enter past Final Fantasy worlds, viewing sealed stories and reliving memories of the greatest battles.
Each world is based on a numbered Final Fantasy game, and players are tasked with clearing dungeons and unlocking characters from the older titles. Once you have them in your possession you can mix and match, tossing characters like Cloud, Terra, and others in to do battle outside of their own games while enhancing and equipping them further along the way.
Featured battles range from the fight against Giglamesh in the Battle of the Big Bridge to Final Fantasy X's Zanarkand and beyond. While Final Fantasy: Record Keeper will be free to download, players can use cash to purchase additional items.
