The 5th annual "Metamorphose Animation Night", a film festival dedicated to exploring strange works of animation from all over the world, will be kicking off in August in Shibuya before expanding to other venues throughout Japan in December of 2017.

The festivities begin with a two week theatrical run from August 12 - 25, 2017, at the Human Trust Cinema Shibuya venue in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. "Metamorphose Animation Night 2017" will feature such international works as Peter Millard's Six god alphabet Peter (UK, 2017), Robert Morgan's The Man in the Lower-Left Hand Corner of the Photograph (UK, 1997), Amy Lockhart's Jessica (USA, 2014), Dana Sink's Love Ball series (USA, 2013 - 2015), and more.

The series continues on December 22, 2017, with nationwide screenings at several venues including the Great Hall at Nakano Zero in Nakano, Tokyo, Japan. More information about the "Metamorphose Animation Night 2017 Tour" will be released later in May.

"Metamorphose Animation Night" is directed by Nobuaki Doi, who also directs the New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival. Distribution and publicity are handled by New Deer.
