Joining Kenji Urai and Hayato Kakizawa, double cast in the role of Light Yagami, and Teppei Koike as the production's genius detective L, the Death Note stage musical has filled out more of its key cast. Misa Amane is played by Fuka Yuduki. SUPER☆GiRLS' Ami Maeshima is Sayu Yagami. Megumi Hamada is Rem. Kotaro Yoshida is Ryuk. And, Takeshi Kaga from the live-action movies is back in the role of Soichiro Yagami.
The adaptation of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's manga will be staged in Japan and South Korea. After opening at Tokyo Nissay in April 2015, it will be playing in Seoul over the summer wtih a different cast. Osaka and Nagoya dates are also planned for May. Tickets go on sale December 13th.
American composer Frank Wildhorn will be writing the music, with Jack Murphy writing the lyrics and Ivan Menchell the script. Tamiya Kuriyama directs.
