33-year-old anime voice actress Mikako Takahashi revealed on her official Twitter on April 7 that she had made it to the final round of "Otona AKB48 Audition." She made her debut as a voice actress in 1998 and is known for her voice works for Sakuno Ryuzaki (The Prince of Tennis), Sadaharu (Gintama), Shirayuki Hotogi (Aria the Scarlet Ammo), and Ayumu Nishizawa (Hayate the Combat Butler). In addition to many character songs, she has released three singles and three original albums as a solo singer.
AKB48 is now recruiting one limited-time member (between April 12 and August 31) who is over 30 years old for a promotional campaign for Ezaki Glico's Papico ice cream. The winner will make her debut as a center member of the nationally popular idol group in a TV CM for the ice cream which will start airing on May 14, and will also participate in various idol activities including handshake events,
theater performances, and concerts. The final selection meet (for dancing and vocal abilities) will be
held in Tokyo this Saturday on April 12.
