Scenes from "Lupin the IIIrd: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone" Revealed

Eiga.com has posted two scene visuals from the upcoming film Lupin the IIIrd: Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone, the second spin-off title of the nationally popular Lupin the Third anime series following the 2012 LUPIN the third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine TV anime. This hard boiled taste film tells how Lupin and Jigen become the partners in their early days. The reason why Lupin wears the eye patch has not been revealed yet.

The film is directed by Takeshi Koike, who served as the character designer and animation director for the 2012 Fuji Mineko. This is his second directorial film work after the critically claimed anime film of 2010, REDLINE. The voice recording session with Kanichi Kurita as Lupin III and Kiyoshi Kobayashi as Daisuke Jigen was already finished. It is scheduled to be screened at the Shinjuku Wald 9 theater for a limited time of one week between June 21 and 27.
